For Consultants Only
What is Expert Consultation?
In its seventh year of inception, Expert Consultation is designed to provide additional assistance to BCPP-SAPP Comprehensive Grant providers working on Level 100 activities in their work plan.
Providers that attend classroom-based training but still feel a need of additional support to apply what they have learned benefit from this service.
Expert Consultation provides an opportunity to regularly seek advice from statewide and national consultants on a variety of topics such as:
Expert Consultation consists of:
- Most agencies commit to at least one year of monthly telephone and email consultation. Upon mutual determination by the consultant and agency, services can be utilized for multiple years.
- To build the capacity and support for prevention efforts
- Expert Consultation is intended to build agency staff skill level and expertise in the chosen strategy. Consultants are available to answer questions, review materials and brainstorm solutions to issues that arise during the work.
- Brings together agencies and communities
- Providers in this service are also encouraged to invite community partners and school teams to participate in calls and meetings. If connections do not exist in the community, assistance is available to bring stakeholders to the table. Working toward a common goal with community partners helps to build a commitment to substance abuse prevention.
- This application is available to download and fax or email to Prevention First.
- Only one strategy can be applied for and received during each fiscal year.
- Please review and contact Prevention First staff with additional questions.
