Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) provides traffic safety information on airbags, alcohol/DUI, child safety and seat belts.

Illinois Secretary of State Office offers access to driver/vehicle services, organ donation information, and the Illinois State Library. Online ATOD information includes the .08 law, digitized drivers’ licenses to prevent identification misuse, zero-tolerance law and "Straight ID."

Illinois Office of the Governor includes a newsroom, FOIA information/contacts, request links, and a fair tax calculator. 

Illinois General Assembly details current legislation, session schedules, and Illinois statutes and laws.

Illinois.gov includes information about Illinois state government, tourism, and trade.

The Addiction Recovery Management Services Unit (ARMSU) of the Illinois Department of Corrections provides extensive training, clinical supervision, and education to IDOC, vendor, and other local and state agency staff.

Illinois Environmental Protection Agency provides consolidated fact sheets, collection options, useful partner links and other information on the disposal of medications.

Center for Prevention Research and Development offers research, technical assistance and expertise in the areas of school improvement, health and human service reform and prevention science.

Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is a component of the Executive Office of the President which works to reduce drug use and its consequences by leading and coordinating the development, implementation, and assessment of U.S. drug policy. 

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) promotes and implements prevention and early intervention strategies to reduce the impact of mental and substance use disorders in America’s communities.

The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention's mission is to improve behavioral health through evidence-based prevention approaches.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is the lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people at home and abroad, providing credible information to enhance health decisions and promoting health through partnerships.

 

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs

AbovetheInfluence was a program of the non-profit Partnership for Drug-Free Kids. The program aims to help teens stand up to negative pressures. They believe the more aware you are of the influences around you, the better prepared you will be to face them, including the pressure to use drugs and alcohol. This page is no longer updated, however, may have helpful information.
