This session starts by diving into the science behind unconscious biases and how they can show up in our workplaces. We will explore several mitigation tactics to prevent biases from influencing our decisions and judgments in the workplace. In a self-reflection activity, participants identify their own blind spots and why those blind spots are specific to them. The session wraps up with a review of several scenarios where biases surface and challenges learners to critically think about how we can mitigate them in the workplace.
By the end of this workshop, participants will leave with an understanding of:

- Everyone holds unconscious biases, which is what makes us human.
- How these biases can show up in the workplace.
