Technical Assistance

Our technical assistance, commonly called consulting or coaching, is a one-on-one service that provides timely, flexible, and targeted support to a prevention specialist and/or organization. Using a collaborative approach, Prevention First builds a prevention professional’s capacity to address their local conditions and develop prevention solutions to amplify the effectiveness of their programs and services.


Our training includes interactive classroom, virtual classroom, and online courses, live and recorded webinars, and networking events to build the capacity of prevention specialists. We conduct an annual assessment to determine whether existing courses must be modified or discontinued and identify new training needs. Our courses are developed by Instructional Design Specialists using evidence-based processes and innovative methods.
