Step behind the mask and join us for an extraordinary evening celebrating the power of prevention. The Prevention First Masquerade brings together community leaders, prevention professionals, advocates, and supporters from across Illinois for a night of music, connection, and purpose. Set against the elegant backdrop of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, this unique event combines sophistication, entertainment, and philanthropy in support of stronger, healthier communities.

Every ticket purchased and sponsorship secured helps advance Prevention First's mission to prevent substance misuse, promote mental well-being, strengthen community systems, and develop the next generation of prevention leaders. Whether you're attending with friends, colleagues, or community partners, you'll enjoy a memorable evening while making a meaningful investment in prevention efforts that create lasting impact throughout Illinois.

What to Wear

The Prevention First Masquerade is designed to be elegant, welcoming, and fun. Guests are encouraged to wear casual cocktail attire and, if they'd like, a masquerade mask to embrace the spirit of the evening. Think dresses, jumpsuits, slacks, sport coats, button-down shirts, nice blouses, or other polished evening attire. No tuxedos or formal gowns required. Whether you dress up a little or a lot, the goal is to feel comfortable while enjoying a memorable night of music, networking, dancing, and celebration.

Food & Drink

Come hungry and ready to celebrate! Guests will enjoy a selection of heavy hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening offering a variety of delicious options perfect for mingling, networking, and dancing the night away. Your ticket also includes two tickets for complimentary beer and wine. Whether you're reconnecting with friends, or making new connections, you'll find plenty of opportunities to enjoy great food, refreshing drinks, and memorable conversation throughout the evening.

DJ & Dancing

Get ready to celebrate with music provided by Prevention First's very own House DJ, DCGROOV (a/k/a Dylan Lewis). Bringing energy, creativity, and great music to the evening, DCGROOV will keep the atmosphere lively as guests connect, celebrate, and enjoy the night. Whether you're ready to hit the dance floor or simply enjoy the music while networking with colleagues and friends, you'll find plenty of opportunities to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories throughout the evening.

Explore the Museum

Masquerade guests will have opportunity to explore several of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum's most popular exhibits throughout the evening. Walk through Journey 1, which traces Lincoln's early life from his frontier childhood to his election as President, and Journey 2, which explores his presidency, the Civil War, and the lasting impact of his leadership. Guests can also visit the Treasures Gallery, featuring remarkable artifacts and exhibits that bring American history to life. Finally, Guests will have access to the The Second American Revolution rotating exhibit featuring examining the impact of the Civil War and reconstruction on American culture, including a signed copy of the 13th Amendment.

Connect with prevention professionals, community leaders, partners, advocates, and supporters from across Illinois. The Masquerade offers a unique opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, make new connections, and celebrate the collective impact of prevention efforts in communities throughout the state.

Explore the Silent Auction, show off your favorite mask, capture memories at photo opportunities, participate in interactive games and surprises, and enjoy an evening filled with mystery, elegance, and fun.

Silent Auction

Our Silent Auction is one of the highlights of the evening, featuring an exciting collection of experiences, gift packages, travel opportunities, artwork, entertainment, dining, and more. All proceeds help support Prevention First's mission and programs throughout Illinois.

The online Silent Auction portal will open on October 1, 2026, giving participants plenty of time to browse, bid, and support a great cause before the event. Additional auction details and featured items will be announced soon.

  • Highboy Table for Six ($800) - Make it a night out with friends, coworkers, or community partners. Reserve a highboy table for six guests and enjoy the evening together while supporting prevention across Illinois.

  • Connections in Prevention Attendee Ticket ($75) - Special discounted pricing for registered attendees of the 2026 Connections in Prevention Conference ($75 per attendee).

  • Prevention First Staff/Guest Ticket ($75) - Special discounted pricing for Prevention First Staff Members + and up to one guest ($75 per staff member or guest).
