This is a Virtual Classroom event.

In Session One, participants will discuss how to establish the function and purpose of the collaboration and identify strategies for recruiting a diverse group of stakeholders. In Session Two, participants will discuss how to structure and organize the group for success and infuse cultural respect and responsiveness into their processes. In Session Three, participants will discuss best practices for coordinating and facilitating meetings, keeping stakeholders engaged and evaluating the group’s effectiveness to make improvements.

There will be approximately one hour of prework/homework participants must complete prior to each session.

This training is available for prevention professionals funded by the IDHS SUPR Substance Use Prevention Program (SUPP) as well as Drug-Free Communities Grantees in Illinois.
