Grant Writing Essentials Learning Community

Thursday, August 20, 2026
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
This is a Webinar event.

This interactive learning community is designed for nonprofit executives and administrators, youth development professionals, and community-based organizations seeking to strengthen their grant-writing skills through shared learning and peer exchange. Rather than traditional training, this session will focus on facilitated discussion, practical tools, and collective problem-solving. Participants will explore key components of effective grant writing while also learning from one another’s experiences, challenges, and strategies. The facilitator will provide guidance, frameworks, templates, and real-world tips to support stronger proposals. Participants will be encouraged to engage actively, share what has worked in their organizations, and build on one another’s ideas to strengthen their overall grant-writing capacity. The goal is to create a collaborative space where participants leave with practical tools and insights from a grant-writing expert and peers working in similar community contexts.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this learning community, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify key components of a strong grant proposal and discuss how they are applied in practice.
  2. Share and reflect on real-world challenges and successes in grant writing.
  3. Strengthen clarity in articulating community needs, program goals, and outcomes.
  4. Explore practical strategies and tools that support more efficient and effective grant writing.
  5. Learn from peer experience to improve their own organizational grant writing approaches.
  6. Identify ways better to align program design with funder expectations and community priorities.
  7. Build confidence in developing grant narratives through collaborative learning and discussion.
