The Convening Coalitions and Community Collaborations virtual classroom training series introduces participants to foundational strategies for convening and facilitating collaborative prevention groups, including community coalitions and advisory boards/groups (primarily comprised of adults or adults and youth, but not youth-only groups). To maximize learning opportunities, participants should have a specific collaboration in mind when completing training activities.
Each course requires 30 minutes of prework.
1: Collaborative Purpose and Participation
Participants will discuss how to establish the function and purpose of the collaboration and identify strategies for recruiting a diverse group of stakeholders.
2: Structuring for Success
Participants will discuss how to structure and organize the group for success.
3: Productive Group Processes and Facilitation
Participants will discuss best practices for coordinating and facilitating meetings, keeping stakeholders engages, and evaluating the group's effectiveness to make improvements.
This three-part virtual training is scheduled for:

November 10th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
November 17th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
